Thanks! That bathroom is actually all new. Pex lines for all the plumbing, installed a ceiling fan, replaced all the sub-floor(there was a big hole by the back of the tub that someone filled with concrete) and all new drywall.

I was actually there tonight hanging the new drapes for him and it looks awesome! He has all modern furniture and really cool art on the walls.

I'd watch that. You would think by now there'd be a show like this on hgtv. Showing the confrontations with tenants, then showing how the owners fix the place up for the next tenants.

Maybe you guys should pitch that idea to one of the networks, who knows what could happen.

Problem with douchbag tenants disturbing others is that it's very hard to get tenants to do written letters of complaint. They tend to move out instead and when new tenant comes in... same thing. Douchebag gets to stay and cause me high turn over.

One tactic for lazy landlords is to do hit them with a rent increase everytime they ask for a repair. Legally you are allowed to raise it by a set percentage once a year.

The bad news is, that's a sign that inflation is way up, and the money is worth less anyway.

No one will get that while they bitch about the rent though.

+1 on that reality TV show. i mean, if there is a show about people buying old storage lockers.... zzzzz....

And on the flip side, why can't our building have good managers? Gone through 3 now, and each suck just as much as the next. Keep the horror stories coming, they're hilarious. But, I suppose if they keep coming, your job doesn't get any easier. ;)

+2 on reality TV show. Give the idea to a network, they film the stupid/ridiculous calls, reactions, what you do, and what Surrey has to give in terms of shitty tenants.

Then again, nobody would want to move here :D
