Customs declaration for warranty repair?

Quick question, if I'm sending something back to the US to be repaired under warranty, how do I fill out the customs declaration form? Do I declare it as $0 value, or do I declare the full value and make a notation it is for repair work? Thanks in advance

I would call the manufactur to get the full info so you are not guessing and get dinged for a charge that you should have to pay.

Put the value that you paid...unless the company you bought it from will fit it out for you

Thanks. I'm guessing I should still put dollar value on it, in case it gets lost/damaged so that insurance covers it?
