-Decent summers, and mild winters. Yet still cold enough to let it snow on the mountains.
-Beautiful scenery to go walk places (Coal Harbour, Stanley Park, English Bay, Granville Island, Richmond Dykes)
-Good food

the stuck up ladies

and the food haha

hotjoint 09-20-2011 08:12 AM

scenery & the booty shorts and small tank tops that the girls wear in the summertime!

skylinergtr 09-20-2011 08:21 AM

The Scenary.

SkinnyPupp 09-20-2011 08:28 AM

Also, the decent and reasonably priced sushi.

That and the July/August weather are what I miss the most.

Oh and fresh berries in the summer

The cute girls who wear TNA pants.

I love our downtown compared to Seattle's downtown, even though our downtown is filled with crackheads and the others are filled with mostly bums.

There's really nothing to do here unless you're of age. Nightlife is pretty good. :fuckyea:

Lululemon.

Culverin 09-20-2011 11:41 AM

Seattle does have Pike Market though. It's like Chinatown for white people but still has more variety.

you dont have to go nearly that far. get to about merritt and you can experience those things.

on another note, i have to say vancouver has a fuckload of hot chicks.
drive down anywhere on the west side or downtown and they are all over the place.

i like how most people enjoy the outdoors other than old chinese women who hide from the sunlight like vampires.

I didn't appreciate this until I worked in London. The hot chicks in there that I noticed are the tourists from South America and the women that migrated from Eastern Europe and Italy. As for the locals, I was hoping a lot of Cheryl Coles, I was wrong.

The great neighbourhoods of Vancouver.

Strathcona/Chinatown
Kits
Kerrisdale
The Drive (Commercial Drive / Little Italy)
South Vancouver (Cambie/Oak/12th Avenue)
Marpole
West End

Just to name a few.

MindBomber 09-21-2011 07:23 PM

I love how willing people in Vancouver are to help each other.

I like...

our great libraries...
great thrift stores
cheap markets to get vegetables/produce (not supermarkets)
most asian food within my grasp.
breathing fucking space.
good weed
close enough to the states so i can rape em when cdn dollar is higher
the girls here are decent... (but too predictable).
craigslist (at least in my experience)
the fact that we're near the ocean.

i hate
nammers
people that that smell like mothballs
the weather
real estate prices
gas prices
thought this was a cultural-less wasteland until i went to calgary...

Woah, hate is a strong word. Justifiable?

The weather and the scenery. I love the fact that in the lower mainland it rarely snows, summers are usually great and even fall and winter are very mild compared to the prairies where I was born. I also love how it stays mostly green here all year round again compared to everything being brown, yellow and dead even in the summer.

There's decent ramen here.

The sushi is... passable.

The closest mountain is 30 minutes from the city.
Snowboard season is coming. :fuckyea:

Sushi (Japanese food) in Vancouver is a LOT better than most places in the world, both in terms of price and quality (of the actual seafood). You just gotta pick your restaurants--but there are plenty of them around here to choose from.

Now ramen on the other hand...I think is somewhat debatable
