FS - 1993 VW GTI $4500 OBO
 

So the time has come and I'm starting to think of other, more reliable, options since I have moved to Kelowna. I need something to tackle the harsh winters.. I dont want to keep this thing here and ruin it, Id rather it go to someone else that will be able to take good care of it and it wont have to see the winters of Kelowna.. so Subaru here I come.

So the history of this car in a long story made short.

Lady owned it from North Van, she originally purchased it in Mexico, so it has the american style 2 belt seatbelts. One lap and one shoulder that clips onto the door. She hardly ever drove it since she was always out of town for work. She put 137xxx kms from 1993 - 2009. She always maintained the car at Capilano VW, and a few thousand KMs after a routine maintenance the timing belt went, bending the valves and what not.. She then sold it to her friend, and heavy duty mechanic, who then rebuilt the whole head, didnt drive it, and sold it to myself, with less than 100 kms on the rebuild. I have receipts adding up to $1000 from the rebuild. So I purchased the car in October of 2009 with 137xxx. Since then I have done a few subtle mods, and put 23k kms on it. It just rolled over 160 today, sitting at 160023 kms right now.

Since day one I have kept this car super clean, oil changes every 5k, garage kept every single night, with the exception to the past week it has stayed outside since I no longer have a garage.

The only visible damage on the car is the rear bumper, which had a small hit and run and you can see the boarder of a licence plate $:no: .. Passenger door has a small ding on it. There is ZERO rust on the hatch, but a tiny bit in the fender wells where the fender rolling has cracked the paint. Recently the car was hit and run on the front bumper, so it has a brand new front bumper with no licence plate holes, new fog lights, and corner lights on both sides, along with a new north american front lip.

Recent Maintenance within 1000km :

- old oil pan was trashed, so just before I moved to Kelowna, I took the BBS RMs off, put the stealies on which added a few inches, and installed a new oil pan/gasket. So its fresh off an oil change as well.

- few days later the rear wheel bearings went. So replaced the right Hub ( $90 ), 2 new wheel bearings ( $40 ), 2 new Zimmerman rotors ( $30 ), and a set of new pads, dont remember the brand, but they were $118. This was legit a week ago. Grand total of $278 in parts.

I do currently live in Kelowna so if you are interested in the car we will have to figure something out.

The interior is not dull like this the seats are in mint condition not one rip or fade in them. Its just the shitty iphone pics I put up. I will take some more pictures later with my actual camera
