AutoCheck (similar to CarFax but free) Anyone tried using AutoCheck? I found this on RFD and thought it might help a few people here. Just enter the VIN at the very end of the URL and it'll pop up your report. Welcome to AutoCheck |
ummm I have a feeling that it is charging some dealers account... because that is not a free service. |
... k extra fail, After running my own vin, it said I have no accidents... Which I do... and it says milage checks out perfectly even though I never entered mileage :S I'll keep this service in mind if I wanna hide facts about my car lol |
lol i wish my car had no claims |
We are sorry, but the vehicle history report cannot be displayed at this time. Please ask the dealer for a copy of an AutoCheck report for this vehicle. FAILED |
There used to be a hole in autocheck if you took a working URL and then just changed the VIN it would give you the full results. That was a few years ago ... regardless, if you put in a VIN now using the URL that a dealer has already paid for it will still work. But generally you don't get free reports. It's still way better and more accurate than Carfax if you are buying out of the States however. I use the unlimited package to narrow down my purchases, and then when I've found "the one", I run every service (Carfax, etc) at it. |
