Hopefully it isn't. With how much it's worth it should take some more damage than that to total it, but I don't know how crazy parts costs are. If it's limited to what I can see I couldn't see it being more than like 12k? Not even close to the cars value.

So once the nsx is repaired, can he take the slk driver to small claims court and sue them for the loss of total value on the car? We all know the difference on a collector car from totally clean history to 15k damage can itself be $10,000 off the value of the car

I believe depending on your coverage ICBC has diminished value compensation. Its going to be tough though because actual values of cars like this are fucking light years away from what ICBCs bullshit book tells them they are worth.

Collector Motor Vehicle Agreed Value Policy (Page 13)
If your vehicle is an ICBC-approved collector vehicle and is currently covered by either ICBC Collision, Comprehensive or Specified Perils, you may qualify for a Collector Motor Vehicle Agreed Value Policy.

The policy guarantees a value for your vehicle at the time of a total loss; it also waives the deductible, regardless of who is at fault. Your car may only be driven by drivers who have held a valid driver’s licence for 10 or more years, and it must be kept in a fully enclosed and locked garage that cannot be used for the parking or storing of a vehicle by anyone other than the insured and members of the insured’s household (for strata properties you must have a key, remote control or security card for your vehicle to enter or exit).

I am ok, as I wasn’t driving. My friend was driving at the time. I was pretty choke about it when it happen. But at the end is only a car. I am glad my friend was ok.

ICBC have fault the other person 100%. So now is just a waiting game of getting it repair and back on the road.

I wonder if I can really go to small claim court for this? Anyone have experience with it?

^ you should get a lawyer to deal with it if you really want good results. I tried to get diminished value compensation (10 grand damage on a 17g valued car), however my lawyer said diminished value really only applies to ultra rare/expensive/antique cars so it was really worth it to pursue for my car. Your case is much different though, you car is actually rare and expensive. I can PM you my lawyers contact info if you wish. Also I highly recommend Fastrack auto body for the repairs of your car.

Saw the post on facebook.. it's a damn shame. In the end though I'm glad everyone's okay, could have been worse :/ Good on you as the owner for being so understanding though, not many people would have reacted the same way

i came out of my garage at around 6pm to see this car parked in front of my driveway blocking the only way in/out (i came home at 5, so don't know when they parked between 5 and 6). Even worse is that it's also blocking the driveway of the house to the right. it's not like they could've mistaken it for a parking spot either, because they are facing my car in the driveway, meaning they knew full well what they were doing.

at first, i thought maybe it was a nearby neighbor who just needed to go home and back out really quickly or something, wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. 7:30, still there. I decided to wash my car to keep an eye on who it might be if they returned. around 8:30pm, this 40 yr old Caucasian lady with a bunch of teenagers comes back to the car. kid gets in the drivers seat, L on the back of the car, mom(?) starts to get in passenger seat. i approach and address the woman...

me: next time, can you please not park in front of my driveway?
her [fake sweet voice]: oh, we were just visiting (because that makes it okay?)
me: it's been almost 3 hou-
her [cuts me off]: *raises voice* Well, I TOLD him (son?) to park here, okay?? (because that justifies parking anywhere too!)
me: you're blocking TWO drivewa-
her [cuts me off]: *sarcasm to the max* oh, i'm Soooooo sorry

and to top it off, one of her kids in the backseat leaves some mcdonalds garbage on the ground before they drive off

seriously, wtf!
I fucking hate people who park their cars like that regardless of what the reason is. Even if they aren't blocking a driveway, it's sometimes horrendous to get around to the back of my house because of scumbag people like this that impede traffic.

I've gotta ask... that thing had Collectors Plates on it, right? If so, you might have a fight with ICBC on your hands. To keep a car insured under that sort of plate, it has to be kept unmodified. Pretty sure those rims and suspension didn't come stock on it.

Regardless, that's a shitty situation and I'm glad your friend is alright. Hope that thing manages to see the road again soon!

You are allowed suspension and wheel modifications if they are period correct, no more than 1" taller, 2" wider and a car can be lowered but no more than 1" I believe

Wheels can only be 1" larger in diameter and 1" wider. Like you said the maximum you can lower the vehicle is 1"

You can't tell but during the failed merge of the CRV, he slowed down to about 10. Then fail lane change caused the other car to brake hard.

Oh yeah, and that weird thing in the beginning that people like to do... Where they cross entire lines perpendicularly

Today I fucked up... drove into on-coming lanes on Main st heading to Powell. Caught myself last minute wondering why the lanes were so big. I admit that I really fucked up... :S

Happens at least 10-15 times a day. People don't realize that the lanes move slightly north and just go straight. And then flip out when you honk at them -_-
