Anyone still watching this? I have ep 4 waiting for me at home, but I have to admit Carrie's character is hilarious this season. I know it was annoying when she was straddling the line between crazy and serious, but now...

Spoiler!

it's been a riot to watch.

Episode 4 and 5 definitely picks up in story and suspense; just watched them last night. The first three were kinda slow and just went over her craziness.

We talking the same show? Or do you mean episodes 4/5? lol I'm so confused

Oops I meant to say ep5 is waiting for me. 4 was goooooood

One thing that hasn't changed though- I have never thought to strike a woman in my life. Dana changes all that. I swear to God if she was a real person, I'd fly to Virginia or wherever the hell they are throw her a sweet punch right to the face.

LOL oh man

Spoiler!

So much hate.

I think her character is quite a realistic portrayal of teenage girls...

rsx 10-30-2013 06:58 PM

Dana's not that annoying. Considering she was part of a hit and run, obviously she's a little f'd up. It's Claire Danes face that gets a bit tiresome.

Last episode showed signs of a salvaged season...

Last 2-3 have been good imo. Looks like it's heading into a more "realistic" and exciting conflict.

He was pretty good in Criminal Minds as well. When he was replaced by Fat Tony, things started to go downhill.

Well except JJ :megusta:

I have a pretty good stomach for violent scenes, but that scene in the house made me cringe.

Gotta love that E. Honda smack at the end though lol

I hate Dana so much. She is a constant disappointment.

One scene that comes to mind is, after she gets brought home by the FBI, she's walking to her room, and she turns to her mom and goes "I'm fine".

Bitch, fuck you. You scared the shit out of your mom running off like that you stupid bitch. Fuck if you're fine or not.

God she is such a stupid stupid bitch. Just a fucking stupid bitch.

Plus she just up and decides to leave home. Way to give your poor family a heads up. This part I blame partly on the writers, cause I don't believe any parent in their right mind who just got their kid back, would allow them to run off again without knowing who she's going with or where she's going. That aside, her mom asks her to "wait", and she can't even do that. Nope, she just walks out the door. She can't wait the 5 secs after dropping a bombshell on her own family and have the decency to consider anybody else's thoughts or feeling except her own.

Dana's character is portrayed very well. When you guys rage about her, it is what the writers wanted. Troubled teenager going through a tough time in life would run away from home to get away especially from what Brody had done to them.

sonick 11-15-2013 11:21 AM

lol +1. The frustration is exactly what I bet it feels like having a teenage daughter; or just teenagers in general.

Reminds me of a lyric that old song "Hey Mister" by Custom "I hope I never have a daughter..."

JACKED 11-17-2013 01:13 AM

I would have to disagree... I feel like Skylar (Breaking Bad) or Betty (Mad Men) rage is good and what the writers wanted. Dana rage seems like it has more to do with the fact that her plot line is just kind of pointless... Yeah it shows pain caused by Brody and teenage angst but to spend all that time on her plot line only to have it end by running away and getting picked up by the police? People were expecting it to connect to Brody or some bigger picture somehow with that much air time. It was just a dull ride... Could have shown her pain in a more relevant way or in half the time.

Hey, it's a TV show.

winson604 11-18-2013 09:51 AM

Carrie getting capped was one of the most satisfying moments of this show.

G-spec 11-18-2013 11:13 AM

^ first thing I said to my wife when she got shot, was "not only did she deserve it, but she really earned that one"

now just waiting for someone to smack that constant sour smirk off Dana's fckin face for good measure, that would put the show in beast mode

Trust me when I say this, it brings me no joy to admit that a character on a TV show could annoy me so much. Maybe it's because I know it's a TV show, so I feel powerless to slap the shit out of Dana's snotty face.

Right when Carrie got out of the van, disobeying orders yet again, I wondered how they can continue to employ such a loose canon like her.
