Where can I purchase this cell phone booster locally?

Friend ordered from internet but I am wondering if anyone knows where to purchase them in the lower mainland? Works awesome on my friend's phone even when he is in underground parking lots now.

Holy shit seriously? These things have been for sale since the dawn of cell phones.

Placebo effect. You're friend is lying to himself.

Psykopathik 10-17-2011 07:57 AM

DOES NOT WORK. its a scam

buy a better phone.

google is your friend.

your friend is dumb. ask him to peel it off while he's in a so called dead zone. I bet the phone works exactly the same.

I used to get cell phone boosters for free every time I'd buy a case or LED antenna for my Motorola V400'/V600s/V60's back in the day. Complimentary gift...never once opened up any of them from their packaging. I can't believe people fall for this shit.

On a side note, OP, I have a glow in the dark sticker that increases battery life...If you're interested, PM me.

LOL, ppl still fall for this??

Is this as bad as those bracelets that are supposed to give you better balance?

SupraTTturbo2jz 10-18-2011 12:48 AM

so far, none of you have tried this yet you're saying it does not work? My friend works in enclosed areas where sometimes there is no reception at all. and ever since he started using the booster, there has been 4 full bars instead of one to zero. There is nothing special about this, although it does act as a bigger antennae which does help. Also it is similar to router antennae and phone spreaders/boosters that are used at my workplace which helps boost our portable devices within the building where there is no reception at all. Once you walk in a specific area of our building (-20-40 degrees + 20 foot doors), there shouldn't be reception at all, but my friend has reception. We have the same phone and now he has decent connectivity.

Anyways, whoever does know, please pm me. Thanks

Culture_Vulture 10-18-2011 12:52 AM

:lol whether or not this works, if you've seen it on TV, you can probably find it in one of those "As Seen On TV" stores. I believe there is one in Willowbrook Mall called "Showcase" (I'm sure there are a few of those scattered all over GVA, but that's the only location I know of).

Ronin 10-18-2011 01:07 AM

Let me tell you what you've done here.

You'll buy this thing...and you'll already swear it works because you were stupid enough to pay whatever money it cost and don't want to admit it to your friends.

You'll go to underground car parks and try to make a call and on the odd chance your phone magically works better than it previously did with your expensive sticker, you'll go "HOLY SHIT IT WORKS!" and on the other million times your phone works exactly like it has (not like electronics exactly get better with age), you'll just chalk it up to "Oh well, I guess it doesn't help EVERY time..."

These things are always scams. If you're going to give someone money for doing nothing, I'll PM you my PayPal address.

Will it improve reception on the iPhone 4 death grip? Apple should had gave them instead of free cases back then and also sell it for 50 bux each!

I think there's a "Showcase" store in Metrotown too.
I bought ShamWow! from there before.

so you are telling us that this sticker, the size of a stamp, is acting as a parabolic satellite dish to pull in/focus more signals to your phone. if it were bigger than your phone or somehow PHYSICALLY attached to the phones antenna, I might give this some plausability.

but the fact its none of the above. smaller and attached via glue throws serious doubt. There have even been entire TV shows/ news broadcasts calling BS on these stickers.

but i mean hell, they cost $2. its your money to throw away. I'd just like anyone else not to give $ to these scammers.

you say your friend has the same phone, however are you on the same Network? EG: he's on Rogers, and you're on Fido?

the ad says "its like flying a 4 foot antenna on your phone" key word being "like". yeah, its attached, so i guess it is "like" that. Its also like doing as much as any other sticker on there.

If they really worked, wouldn't they be found EVERYWHERE Cell phones are sold? not just obscure eBay/TV stores in the corner of a mall?

Final thought. why would an entire forum of strangers tell you its bullshit? What do we have to gain? that's right nothing, not even a cheap laugh.

Yup. These are actual signal boosters that do actually work since the receiving antenna is larger than the phone itself and involves amplifiers and additional hardware. Not like the sticker the OP wants. These also require the phone to be tethered in some way to the booster.
