You can grab the early, early beta APK here but I recommend waiting for the official version to arrive this week. It just goes to show you that amazing things can pop up everywhere.

The coolest thing? They finished the app in eight hours.
8 hours?

Wow, Apple got taken for a ride. Paying a rumored $100 million plus for Siri and then allocating the single largest team of engineers within Apple to spend a year refining it and integrating it into iOS 5. They should've just hired these guys for a couple weekends instead.

google's voice search works pretty well, also the mic option is pretty much on the keyboard... it's about 75% accurate I would say, if not more.

Might be dragon dictation. I had it on iphone for a long time and the recognition was not very good.

VLINGO does come in full system integration format on the Samsung Galaxy S II. It controls virtually every aspect of the phone and more. All other devices get the app which does for the most part, what Siri does without being integrated, IMO.

Everyone I ask says the same thing.

Apple just likes to hype up things that have already existed in the past. Voice integration has been available since Windows Mobile days and nobody ever thought 2 shits about it.

I have no problem with that. It's their job to make money.

It's when the fanatics go on about these "awesome" "features" that make me go

People who are spouting the current Apple mantra of "nobody wants a bigger screen" are going to be singing a different tune when the iphone 5 comes out ;)
