GM dealers and sales reps in GVRD

The time as finally come where I need a small SUV.
I looked around and have decided on the Chevrolet Equinox.

So my question is, what GM dealer does RS recommend and which salesman?

Thanks guys.

Honestly man, don't do it.
Chevy is still the same old company with the same old concepts of reliability. These vehicles are not in it for the long term.

If you're planning on keeping the vehicle for longer than the warranty period, do yourself a favor and look at what the old reliable standards are offering like Toyota and Honda. Hell, I'd go with a new Ford over any other domestic maker. At least they pulled through the economy without gov't handouts. They earned it.

They pulled through without gov plan, because they borrowed a ton of money from the marketplace... and because it is still a family shop.

If you look Ford's debt to equity ratio, they are at the bottom of the pile.. not just in the sector, but pretty much of all large cap companies.. On the upside, at least they are writing the debt down by passing it to the unions. So when they go down, they will be dragging large unions like UAW with them.

With inflation going up like in UK etc.. they are on borrowed time. Once the interest rate ticks up, they will be the first to fall.

Honestly "they pulled through without gov't help" protected the Ford family the most (since they didn't loose their holdings), so now F has recovered they can cash out their holdings without being wiped out if there is a bailout... oh that and a marketing gimmick.

I don't think for this thread it is useful to paint one make with one brush.. It is much useful to look at the reliability of Equinox (after its facelift to be precise).

@ OP - Alex Woodman at Preston Chevrolet. Let him know that Cathy from the finance office recommended him ;)

having worked at duecks, i say stay away from the marine dr. and richmond store. downtown is better to deal with

I don't have a good salesman at Carter anymore to recommend (Stan, he died!! :()

But the Equinox is a winner.. my wife has one, and we beat one up daily at work. Like a Timex, takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Nice options available too. They drive nice, and unlike most imports, they have some torque! Engine won't have to redline to pass cars in traffic.

I looked at a lot of compact suv's and probably drove almost 3/4 of them. I was open to ANY brand. However, the Equinox fits the bill the best.

Thanks for all the recommendations.
This weekend is going to be fun.
