traveling to US with student visa?

I hope someone knows if this is possible.

I want to take my girlfriend to EDC next year but she's here on a Student Visa.
Is it possible to get her a VISA to travel to the Las Vegas for a week or weekend?

Can't seem to find anything on the internet.....

Depending on where she is from, she might need a visa to enter the US. Also check to make sure her Student Visa allows for re-entry back into Canada.

A single-entry student visa doesn't not limit the travel to the US at least until 2008 by land, I don't think anything would have changed since then. You could double check with CIC just to be sure.

As for heading to US, if she has a US visa or her passport is among one of the visa waiver program, then it should be any problem.

My wife is here on as a student visa. She applied for a US Visa, she went for the interview and she was allowed to enter the US.

When we went down the first time, after she got her US visa, we had to go to the customs and get some special authorization/letter/document from the US customs. It cost about $6 and it lasts about 6 months (maybe longer). It provided unlimited access into the US. They also had to take her finger prints for safety measure too. After the 6 months, we went down again, we also had to do the same procedure again at the US customs.

PS if your going during busy hours, prepare to line-up in the US customs
