Where to purchase a dog houes

As title states

helping for a friend looking for two medium size dog hose so their dog can sleep outside.

I checked wal-mart and petcetra

all the dog houses they have are more for carry on, not the one tats stationary. I saw on US website they have those tats really well built with heater capability for the winter.

DIY? When I was younger I remember my dad built one himself! It didn't have any luxuries though.:haha:

Uh, build one your self?

4x4's in each corner, put siding up and insulate the inside, and make a roof. Put what ever you want as a base.

Just make sure you get treated wood so it doesn't rot out.

My dad built one when I was little and it lasted our Rottweiler about 9-10 years till she passed :(

Made my own a couple weeks ago. Came out to under $200 for all the materials. All you really need is a power saw, hammer, nails and a measuring tape. Ours is a big heavy monster too, fully insulated built just like a house.

If you want to buy one, check out costco. I just saw it online they have a pretty big one for sale. I think it's for 199. Check their website under pet accessories

it's a great DIY. A friends dad built a real nice one a few years ago . he used spare wood from their home renovations. sold it for around $500 a year later

I built this one (with some help from my sibs peeling the logs) when I was... oh, 14 or so, I guess? Nice recent pic - it's held up well, almost 30 years later :)

We've got an homebuilt insulated dog house that your friend can have. Half of the roof is removeable for cleaning and is 32" wide x 40" long. Our present dog lives with us in the house so we don't have any use for it. PM me if you're interested.

Not sure if this is too late or anything, but Rona on GrandviewHwy has some dog houses for sale when you leave the exit after the cashier.

Last Ive seen them was last month, price ranged from $150 and up.

Best of luck!

Water can get between the bark and the log and cause rot... plus eventually, the bark will dry up and fall off on its own, and then you get big gaps.
