Not a can though. Just a glass cup with the same dimensions...

Nice, where did you find it?

I also collect Coke stuff.

Fairly small since I only collect LE cans and cans from various trips. My cousin in Manila has a 400sq.ft. room just packed with Coke stuff, floor to ceiling, in glass cabinets.

BTW I still have an unopened box of gold cans if you're looking.

Can I get a source for this? I do agree with you but the number seems a bit high.

Environment Canada suggest a slight increase in population in the next 10-25 years

people actually complained about the white can, holly shit

dat_steve 12-03-2011 02:00 PM

correct me if i'm wrong but i remember the commercial saying that coke will donate $2M to the cause...over 5 years. To me 2M over five years sounds like 400k/year which is probably 30 seconds worth of revenue for coke. hell, even 2M/year for coke is nothing! super lame attempt at goodwill marketing imho.

Sky_High 12-03-2011 02:16 PM

Anyone still see any vendors / grocery store that sell the white can as of today?

YouMirin 12-03-2011 02:28 PM

No luck at the safeway on 2 and blundell.

Safeway in Port Coquitlam has them by the case (24). I only want two cans for my collection. LOL. I magine the other safeways would have them, too.

Mine.....or theirs? In their case it was a deliberate plan to jump on the "save the world from Co2, 'cause it's melting the world" politically correct bandwagon. In my case it is....well let me put it this way....grade 3 were the best 5 years of my life. :D

The thing is, they don't have to. It could go to something else. Yeah, probably marketing, but who's going to say "no" to the funding? Coke sponsors all kinds of other things.

I have two cans for my display case. Thanks for the offer, though. I have all four of the aluminum Olympic bottles, as well as both plastic Fifa soccer ball bottles, last Christmas Ornament bottle, and shorty, classic glass bottle. There are so many different types of Coke bottles - mind blowing. I can just imagine your cousin's collection.

dbaz 12-03-2011 03:43 PM

it just me or did the white cans taste different. i tried sips from both and it was vastly different, i ended up dumping out the rest of the white can. maybe its just my mind fucking with me though

That's true i guess. I just see it more as a marketing ploy/cash crab than a philanthropic action. What's next? Pink cans for breast cancer? A moustache'd can for Movember?....actually i would have totally gone out to collect that.

1990TSI 12-03-2011 04:06 PM

I liked the white cans, tasted the same, cost the same, but was different. I don't usually buy coke anymore, but I picked up a case for the white cans.

I will say they look a lot like the diet cans, and can imagine why retarded americans got confused and pissed off.

shawn79 12-03-2011 04:46 PM
