CCTV Monitoring... Anyone have hookups?

Hello RS.

Following a series of break-ins, my office has decided to step up our security and install some outdoor CCTV Cameras.
Anybody on RS have hookups, recommendations, or otherwise suggestions?
(I looked on google already, but I'd thought I will give anyone on RS working in the field a chance first)

I'm lead tech for a local CCTV company - we do mainly Petros, Essos and Cactus Clubs.

Where's your office?

www.houle.ca/security

Another suggestion. They do work for ICBC, Ferries, DND, etc.

has a dedicated ipad/iphone app free to download.

I'm just curious, how much would a simple set up for a home be?
ie. just one camera in the front of the house with one in the back?

i work in this industry as well..

pm me if you require more information or quote. houle is a big company, but very expensive.. and they do not do all the ferries and dnd..

if it is a simple home setup, i recommend a small system from costco

^ which company are you working for?

If it has t-bar ceiling inside, its much easier to run the cables back to the dvr.

but if its a finished celing with drywall....good luck fishing!

He didn't mention the size of his office or define a scope so I just threw it out there. If it's just a couple cameras and small DVR it's probably not the type of job Houle would even want to look at. They're more after the hotels, malls & hospitals...

Costco - Your search for "Lorex1011" produced 5 results.

Costco has a bunch of simple home surveillance systems on sale right now, from $100 to $500 off.

I PM'd all the members who work in the field with more info.. thanks guys :)

They should design a system where the CCTV camera has an attached rail gun you can fire remotely at unsuspecting burglars.

Those things are utter crap and I wouldn't suggest one for my worst enemy's home (actually... maybe I would, in case I ever actually wanted to sneak in and murder him in his sleep).

To put it in terms this forum can understand: There are systems on the market that range from Smart Cars to Gallardos. I deal mostly with Cadillacs.

On this chart, Lorex is a rusty Baycrest bicycle with a broken chain and a missing wheel.

We got called in to clean up a couple jobs they subcontracted... in one case, for a job that should have taken a day, they still had the store torn apart a week later (at which point they got us to come in and finish it).

I'm not sayin' though... I'm just sayin'.
