Network coverage is actuallly larger than what it shows on the site. Been to nelson and duke in rmd and still get some reception.

White Rock is as well, as well as West Van up to Dundarave/Horshoe bay.

Even 5km into the US border its still Mobilicity ie. Blaine.

Richmond Movie theatres you can barely get it, but im sure pretty soon it will

^ I can't get reception at 54/victoria ( on the lot of my house), and I'm not talking inside... I don't mind the dead spots, for the price, still worth it(used over 6gb of data this month already), but man...my nexus s refuses to reconnect to the network sometimes...I gotta dial out to force it to reconnect...f'n annoying.

yameen 11-04-2011 11:27 PM

i had no connection problems so far. i just make sure i have wifi set up in certain places like my school so that i don't use more batteries than needed in areas that require a stronger network signal.

when i had my panache and i left data on in one of the buildings at bcit, in 3 hours it went from 100% to 75%. then again the battery life with the panache was pretty bad.

my nexus s with moderate usage, i'm getting 2 days now before i charge it up.

No. Go into a Mobi store with your Rogers account number, they'll take care of everything.

Definitely DO NOT cancel.

Just go over to mobi like said above with your account number and everything should be done within 10 mins.

You will have to pay a small early cancellation fee. $20 I'm guessing.

Not really racist! 11-05-2011 04:56 PM

IIRC, if you call in to Rogers to cancel they will freeze ur # and you won't be able to port over.

The same for any carrier I think.

Call in and find out what is the date that you're done your contract.

With this info, you can better plan what to do. When you find out, just post it here, I have some ideas on what you can do but I'm sure there are plenty of RS'ers who are willing to help out as well.

Besides, there is the 100 port in credit, so why fret?

Does unlocked iPhone work with mobi?

No.

Unlocking carriers =/= unlocking all frequencies.

VK79 11-06-2011 12:06 AM

How's the data speed on their network? I heard it is brutal in Toronto (80-120kB/s). Planning to grab another 3G line for a tablet so data speed is very important, no point getting unlimited if i'm crawling at 100kB/s.

Tablet will only be used in N Van, Van and Rmd if that matters at all.

Alatar 11-06-2011 12:28 AM

It's usually around 150-160kb/sec from what I've been seeing in my speedtests.
