Importing a product I did my google search but couldn't find anything so I am gonna try my luck here, I have a product, it's a construction material, i want it to sell it here, other than getting the import permit, where about do i call to have the gov't to check my product and get all the appropriate licensings? any help would appreciated |
ask a customs broker first, they can answer almost all your questions. |
i wouldnt even bother ... your looking at getting this "product" CSA approved? if someones house or building burns down your liable |
Yeah, it depends on what type of product you are looking at. If its flooring, then you would need to be able to get certified on not having harmful products. If its lighting, you are into a whole different game of getting CSA approval. Plumbing components come with their own wide array of issues. I read a story about someone having a sink imported from Germany that cost a small fortune, sink-wise and because it was missing some type of approval, was an automatic fail for the plumbing building inspection. I get that you are trying to protect your business idea, but there isn't much anyone can say about some "construction thing from somewhere to do something hehe" y'kno? |
