NDS cards, which one is best?

so I'm planning on getting the boys a couple of 3ds and was wondering what was the best card to get?

R4, supercard, acekard, etc.

and if there is a store that sells them? i thought there was a place in that mall across from parker but they're gone prolly closed down. and don;t really feel like dealing with a shady cl seller LOL

anyways any help is much appreciated! :)

i use acekard myself, and haven't had any issues with it at all, I also find acekard loads games faster then any R4 clones for 3DS out there.
I m not 100% sure, but up to date, i don't think there is a card that support 3d games yet. so you will only be playing regular ds games on your 3ds.
Another thing is that acekard doesn't support 3ds patch 2.2.0-4 yet(so hopefully your brand new 3ds is still on the old patch), but an update is coming.
And generally acekard is more expensive to buy.

Also, I would just pick one of the online store from the reseller list from the acekard.com website. My friend had brought an acekard from some chinese game shop in crystal mall before, the card wasn't update-able and when you try to load a new firmware in it to play newer games, it would say you have a fake card. Buying online is also probably cheaper as well, only down side is the wait for shipping.

i'm pretty much set on the acekard

i wish there was somewhere retail we can pick one up, i remember there was one before in the mall between aberdeen and parker but haven't been there for awhile. I hope the UI is easy to understand (for the kids :P

thanks for the feedback!

There's a ton of places in crystal mall that sells them, maybe you can go check them out. I got my R4 there two months ago, 30$

ok i've been running the list of acekard dealers off the acekard site and alot of them have been getting bad reviews lately, is there anyone website that you guys in here have used to get their flashcarts? and have no issues with?

You've already decided but I'd like to say that I've been using my R4 for 4 years now and its never let me down.

Yea I've had the r4, they stopped support on it so it didn't play the newer roms :(
Unless they new versions are much better IDK

go to r4wood.com and download their firmware for R4s, i find it almost exactly the same as the acekard firmware. and updates are pretty decent.
but make sure you have the original R4(R4 clones don't work with this firmware)
but problem is original R4s do not support DSi/3DS.

+1 for another Acekard 2i user here. Never had an issue with them.
