Tablet wallpaper I just got a ASUS 16GB Eee Pad Transformer tablet. I'm trying to set wallpapers, but every time I do, it always crops the picture and stretches it out. The only wallpapers that don't get stretched, distorted, or cropped are the pictures that came preloaded with the tablet. The resolution 1280x800. I went to Interfacelift and found wallpapers that size, tried setting them as wallpaper through the browser, but it still stretches the picture out. Using the Market apps for background doesn't work well either. Does anybody know how else to properly set a wallpaper without it being distorted? |

Isn't the 1.4ghz Quad Core Transformer Prime going to be released in just mere days? |
^Yea it's supposed to be released Nov 9th. I have a transformer and the even though the screen is 1280 x 800, the wall paper needs to be a different resolution depending on what launcher you're using. If I read that link correctly, using wallpapers sized 2048x1504 or 1920x1408 would result in undistorted backgrounds? My launcher hasn't changed. The tablet is barely a few hours old. Sorry, I'm still learning. |
Yea you're still good with either of those resolutions. Look here for some wallpapers too: Wallpaper(s) or LINKS to-ONLY Thread!!!!!! - xda-developers |
Thanks. It seems if the pictures are bigger than those resolutions, the tablet would crop and distort the picture again. Or maybe I'm seeing things. I went to Interfacelift and tried setting a wallpaper that was 2560x1440, and it got blurry like before. |
Use 1920x1408. No more; no less. Here are some samples someone made. https://www.dropbox.com/gallery/1779...x1408?h=17a86c Reason is cause the wallpaper includes the addtional panes when you swipe left and right. |
Another thing I noticed is that sometimes when I choose "Set as wallpaper" inside Browser, it doesn't always work. Android bug? Should I be downloading all the wallpapers before trying to use them as wallpapers? edit: by "doesn't always work", I mean it doesn't actually set teh picture as a wallpaper. I'll go and check my home screen after and it hasn't changed to the picture I just selected. |
Oh I've never used the browser to set the wallpaper. Mind you I've been a lazy ass and still have my stock Xoom wallpaper lol. |
The issue is probably similar to the Playbook's Read more about it here - BlackBerry PlayBook Wallpapers and Sizing Explained | CrackBerry.com |
