How to connect and control another PC?

Hey guys,

I need to take control of another PC. Basically want to be able to control my work comp from home. I think it's called remote desktop.

I'm not sure what good free programs are out there or anyone that has any experience can shed some light. Bother comps are on Windows 7 (ultimate and home).

Thanks!

You can try teamviewer. I use it when i'm away with my laptop. Can even use it to control my home comp using my smart phone

Log me in works well. Especially if it's 2 computers. I've been using this for 2 years now and it's had no problems.

Perfect thanks man....

I tried it and did everything I needed. Was alot easier then I thought it would be. I thought would need to adjust a bunch of network settings etc.

I use Splashtop Streamer
Download page for FREE Splashtop Streamer for Windows or Mac

Haven't had any issues with it on my PC or on my Asus Transformer.

LogMeIn and VNC are both great.

they used to have that option in msn messenger, no more?

Vnc is slow compared to actual ms remote desktop which is probably the best.

Logmein lags a bit though and the color calibration is way off so its a bit frustrating sometimes when I'm using it to design on the other computer but it works. Paid subscription version works wonders though as you can easily drag and drop files with the interface like an FTP server.

Looking to try VNC and Splashtop to compare.

Remote desktop is not really meant to be used for graphics design though. The graphics portion are heavily compressed for speed.
