Usually with surveys, solicitations I can tell them nicely to remove my # off the list.
But I get bombarded with these fucking telemarketing calls with automated recordings. This happens more often with my landlines...but fucking rages me when it happens on my cell phone and eating up daytime minutes. How can I stop these assshats?
AFAIK the National Do not Call list is a counter-intuitive...telemarketers from outside Canada can purchase the list.

I do get them from time to time.
What I do is put them on speaker and put them on hold, every min or so I will tell them pleast hold for a bit longer. While I am doing this I will be playing vidoe games or just watching a movie so they can hear it as well. After a few minutes they get the hint and never call again.
If they call my cell phone I won't even pick up If it is a private number or is not a local number.
shaw etc will charge u to block numbersnand not do much else. just a waste of hours being on hold for nothing
block lists get sold and ull get more spammd
playing video games and telling them to hold is attacking the poor sap desperately working there to make ends meet and wasting your time, not doing anythig to address the problem
only solution really is to get caller id or a new number Posted via RS Mobile
these are those automatic voice messages though, I know what op means I get bombarded by them as well usually a few times a day. Even when you start recognizing their numbers and not answering its still annoying as hell, lol my parents always hit the actual telemarketers with the no speak english line and hang up though lol.

Not if they block their numbers or just a Voip service like Skype where the numbers changes everytime. Getting new phone# cost money as well.
No one wants to get these calls so too bad these poor sap have to do it but I don't feel sorry for them. It doens't waste my time since when they call I am usually palying games/watching TV anyways.
