BENT rim question...

one of my dedicated stock winter rims is bent...thing is,
it balanced fine and i dont feel any vibrations at all.
it is bent from the inside..and mounted on my rear driver
side. tire size is 235/55/18. should i get it fixed
or let it ride out for the winter?

If you plan on fixing it later, just fix it now.

On the other hand, if you plan on selling the car next year, ride it out but be prepared.

I would fix that right away.

Some are saying that a tool of some sort could have caused this and not some pothole. I'm taking it up with the dealer that sold me the car.

It's definately not from a wheel clamp and the only "tool" that can do that kind of damage might be from a bead breaker. Having said that, the tech had to be a real moron to continue with the breaker on the wheel like that, since it doesn't happen instantaneously.

Still could've come from a pothole though, although the way it's bent does look odd.

My guess is that the dealer will say you've already had it for xxx time and you'll have to deal with it on your own.
