pretty sure a single yellow line means pass with caution so OP would legally be in the clear for said attempted pass.

seriously doing anything to his car is a waste of time, then that degenerate gets his shit fixed for a deductible, if it happens again just don't let him in if he hits you he's a fault then your shit gets fixed on his dime.
