Toyota 4Runner 2001 P1135 problem

Went to Air Care, this shit popped up.

I google and found out it has to do something with the Air Fuel Sensor.

Wondering where's the cheapest place to get this fixed? How much does this usually costs?

:okay:

Sounds like an oxygen sensor. You have 3 as per the video. Take it to an indy shop or the sponsors for a diagnostic to see which one is bad. If possible, get OEM but YMMV. Once complete, make sure the shop clears the code for you before you take it back to Aircare.

indy shop? what? Any shops you'd recommend?

Indy Shop = Independent shop aka not a dealership.

I'm not familiar with any shops out your way so you're on your own.

before i sold my 4runner, it throw the same code for a air/fuel oxygen sensor.

They are quite expensive locally, so my recommendation is to get a one from from oxygensensor.com. I think retail is over $300+ here, while its $150 on that site. Make sure its an OE Denso sensor.

When you receive the sensor, its up to you if you want to tackle the job yourself (its not hard, you just know to know what bank is throwing the fault), or take it to a shop to have them install it and the ECU will need clear of faults.

after this you will have to drive the car for a few hours (or a few days) to re-calibrate the OBD before taking it into aircare or you will be rejected.
