Recs for a light polish?
 

Hi,

Curious as to what people use as their "maintenance" polish - the polish they use to get rid of normal wear and tear swirls that build up after a year.

I use Poorboy's SSR2 and 2.5 for the heavier work but I need something a lot lighter for the minor touch ups.

I'm considering Poorboy's Black Hole glaze which has very light abrasives.

I use Menzerna Power Finish....remove moderate to mild swirls, water spots, and light scratches. No dust, and finishes down to a pretty darn good shine. My fav.

I like Menzerna too, my favourite polishes. Final Polish would be more suitable for light marring. Optimum polish finishes nicely as well, little better than Menzerna since you can basically work it in forever and it's low dusting too if I recall.

You don't have SSR1? I just used SSR2.5 and SSR1 on my DD last month and it worked great.

I don't have SSR1 - the advice that I got at the time was that SSR2 with a white pad would not require follow-up with a milder abrasive (which works out as true) but now that I've tidied things up I want to have someone for really light cleanup.

Have a look at the new Optimum GPS or CG Blacklight. Both are quite new but have received very favourable reviews.
