Friend just bought a 2004 M3 6speed for 21k taxed in. Clean with no accidents

Price is dropping for M3's but even if it's cheap to buy, the maintenance and parts are still expensive..

Fortunately, Honda has a better version of it.

locally? That sounds pretty good, assuming that it's in decent shape with relatively low kms

tofu1413 11-29-2011 05:03 PM

^ sounds like a good buy imo.

but 14k for a M3? :fuckthatshit: although i do like this purple..

dont bother with SMG cars (unless we're talking about the E9x twin clutch..)

you should see the repair bill for a SMG clutch replacement for an E60 M5... and these old single clutch gearboxes arent really the most reliable things out there.

best bet for an E46 M3 is a Six speed manual. theyre great cars to own for around 20ish k

That's why almost 90% of the people who buy M5s , get warrenty or else you can see some 20k SMG transmission bills

Hopefully some kid buys it and spins it into a ditch that way it'll go to a good cause.

Apparently I know the original owner of this car, I was showing it to some friends, and he was like "OMG that was my car! I special-ordered that color!"

He's considering re-buying it now.

jpark 11-29-2011 10:30 PM

1. Get parents to buy M3 in unique color.
2. Flip M3 to someone else who really likes the color for a large profit.
3. ????
4. Get a MR2.
