If I understand you correctly, I *think* the easiest way to do this is do grab a normal video file, open it up in hexplorer, and just messup a bunch of bytes at the top of the file which would change the header.

transfer the file into a usb and cancel it halfway through, or send an email to urself and cancel the upload halfway through, the file should be there but corrupted

You can try finding a file that's a similar size - then rename the extension to what you need (.ppt), etc.

assuming you have already asked for an extension from your instructor/prof?

Just E-mail it to him/her and pretend you forgot to add the attachments. :lol
