buying online - mounting and balancing

I'm about to complete a deal on a set of 19" rims and tires (for a 335i) online from modbargains during their black Friday weekend sale. They are offering to install the tpms, and mount and balance the tires for $120.

So my question is, should I pay the $120 for them to put in tpms and mount/balance, then pay a local shop to install them on the vehicle, or should I just buy the tires and wheels unmounted and get everything done (mount, balance, install) locally?

Also how much would it generally cost to just install wheels vs mount/balance/install at a quality shop (ie a place that won't scratch up the rims)?

Pay them the $120. It will probably cost you about the same (for a good shop that won't damage your wheels) plus your time to go to the shop and wait. Most tire shops are so busy now as everyone is getting their winter tires mounted, so you could be waiting a while, unless you go super early.

It's probably like $25-30+ to mount and balance a 19" rim from a good, reputable shop.

$120 is a solid price especially with winter season coming, just get them done there.

WTF dude. Mount your own damn wheels onto your car.
Are you that friggen lazy or have that much money to waste?

Just get them to m/b. Shipping will be easier too.

Then take those little tools out of your trunk and put them to use.
