She is? Dude...don't walk....RUN!

She will suck the life outta you and will drive you crazy.

She will wrap you around her finger.

If an SO forgets about an important date, like a birthday or anniversary, then take that as an opportunity. Since she forgot an important occasion, then that gives you an opportunity to "forget" something, and use your "Get Out of Jail Free" card.

I hate posting my DOB on facebook. Get too much unwanted attention from 'friends' who I never speak to. Besides, I did text her by date of birth a 3 days in advanced.

NLY 12-02-2011 03:40 PM

how did she reply to your text message with your birth date?

if she replied and acknowledged the message then she doesn't have an excuse to not at least say "Happy Birthday"

I've been away for work on my birthday before and my girlfriend didn't send a happy birthday message. I didn't really care because I was too distracted from work anyways and would return home in a couple of days. She picked me up at the airport without the mentioning of my birthday. We got home and she had planned a surprise party with all my friends.

There's a difference between giving a gift and acknowledging someone's birthday. There are some friends that I'll actually buy a gift for and some I've just send a message. I know one month feels like nothing but the first couple months are usually the best parts of the relationship (Honey moon stage) and I find it abnormal she decides to ignore your birthday (on purpose or not)

But honestly OP, if you know she is self-absorbed (usually we're blinded and it takes a third person perspective to see) I wouldn't invest too much into her or the relationship. It's difficult enough to be in a relationship at times so I imagine her "I'm never wrong or saying sorry" attitude making it that much harder. (from my past experience)

Is your real name George Costanza?

She did say "an early happy birthday to you" immediately after my text. That doesnt really passes as a real happy birthday wish, does it not?

NLY 12-02-2011 04:29 PM

:suspicious:

i dont think that counts.

just hope she pulls a belated birthday gift for the weekend.

Dinan3 12-03-2011 12:28 AM

If it bothers you, then talk to her about it now. Why would you wait until the New Year? She's going to find you weird because you've been holding up your feelings for a month. Communication is important in a relationship.

Yeah I dunno I think this is a pretty good sign that she's not all that into you. Start looking elsewhere =)

They've been dating for all of four weeks. That seems like an excellent kick-start to a bitter relationship lol

IMO, anytime someone in a relationship says or thinks 'he/she did it, so now i can/will do it', it just points to a lack of communication.

as long as she puts out the rest of the 364 days .. I am all cool

pure.life 12-09-2011 05:27 PM

I'm learning to deal with girls that have this attitude. Gotta tell myself to stay away. It's not worth it. Might seem merry at first.. but I would seriously consider whether it is worth it to continue this.

It might not seem much but a simple Happy Birthday or a simple text HBD shows a simple act of kindness. Heck even on FB would do. But when you describe that she knowingly knew that it was your bday and she didn't say jack.. I'm not sure if she'll even care abt anniversaries or special occasion.

Tough break but thats reality.

plazma 01-03-2012 01:57 PM

True love is not about giving material things.

DC5-S 01-05-2012 04:20 AM

Gnomes 01-05-2012 05:22 AM

Disappointing but nothing happened.

Marioo1991 01-05-2012 08:26 AM

thats pretty shitty for her to not even wish you a happy birthday

so if she didn't wish you a happy birthday or get you anything, does this mean you can do the same for hers?

missChloe 01-18-2012 11:55 AM

I have heard about girls like that.

They are trouble man. If you try to do the same to them on their birthday, omg the world would end.

They are selfish and just expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter.

Like at least fucking say "Happy Birthday" it's not that hard.

Ya_Boy 01-19-2012 12:19 AM

If she's hot, who cares
If she's ugly, RUN
