where to get a car inspected before buying? Hey folks, I came across this car that is really cheap and in good condition. I told the current owner I need couple of days to come up with the money as my bank decided to put a hold on my bank draft lol anyways, i was wondering if there is a reputable shop with certified mechanic that can take a look at the car and tell me if there is a problem or no problem with anything. I live in Richmond btw. Thanks |
What make/model of car? That would help us help you. |

That's a pretty run-of-the-mill car. Any shop can do it for you. Try the Revscene sponsors first (in no particular order:) Rise Auto Salon Drivehard Performance Gearheads All of which are in Richmond. |
BCAA if you have a membership or take it to the dealership... taking a stock echo into a tuner shop might make you look kinda silly.. |

BCAA will send a mechanic to check out the car for you |

There's this shop down in Surrey that'll pass anything. PM me. |
I don't think he's looking for a shop that will let him get past the system... He's making sure he's buying something that is solid and problem free. |
Most garages will do PPI's for about 50-90 dollars depending on how deep you want to dig into the car. Compression testing is not standard. BCAA will do mobile services where they come you where the car is. They will not inspect a car older than 15 years old. |
let me know :ilied: |
