the least of your worries is gas when you have the money to fork out for a 70-90g car.

You have to pay to play.

So why does BMW make a X35d?

no_clue 12-05-2011 12:08 PM

I've been considering a 2010 C63 too but things I don't like are:
shit gas mileage
eats through rear tires <10000km
not that great of an interior Pre-facelift
automatic, not dual clutch

things I like:
comand system updated with backup camera
acceleration
V8 roar
practical

My main issue are BC dealer prices. Refuse to negotiate as they are "high demand". $80k for a 2011 used C63 in Kelowna with 5000km lol. you can buy a new 2012 facelift c63 coupe for less.

Honestly, IMO it comes down to marketing to consumers.

Some people are more eco-friendly than others and with that said , some people may want diesel > gas.

Besides isn't Diesel more expensive than gas right now? :heckno:

If BMW can sell more cars by adding diesel powered engines , hey why not?

x35i cost 3,000 less than the x35d.

I can see on craigstlist that many people buy x35d .

And according to BMW's website, x35d takes 1.7L less to go 100km than the x35i so honestly you save like 1.50$?

That is only one of the factors that comes into play , i presume there are many more.

Lol oh revscene. If I wanted a faguar, I would be asking about it, and I would be 65 years old. Same goes for a BMW.

Yes that 2011 is overpriced, there is one in white rock with 4100kms for 65000.

Real V8 > Fake wannabe V8.

;)

Not to mention much better gas mileage.

donjalapeno 12-05-2011 05:05 PM

how is the 6.2 amg wanna be V8?

Over9K 12-05-2011 05:35 PM

I'm very ignorant when it comes to European cars. Excuse me.

European V8's are just....plain wrong...too refined.

Iceman-19 12-05-2011 06:13 PM

Have you ever heard a 6.2 with a nice exhaust? Sounds like it just stabbed your mother and jerked off on her corpse. Raunchy and badass.

Maybe consider getting a used E60 with this Eisenmann exhaust :D

Firmware 12-05-2011 06:35 PM

Test drive them both before you make a decision, BMW m5 e60 is my dream car.

Iceman-19 12-05-2011 06:35 PM

M5 look like old man cars. I dig the aggressive look of the c63. Weird coming from a c63 owner.

I guess it does give off that vibe..

I would suggest you give it go in M mode..

haha I like almost all the bmw and benz cars, both brands have awesome cars, I just thought you might like the more F1'ish sound from the M5 with custom exhaust, guess its not your cup of tea lol

anyways the c63 is a great car in every way to me, no problems at all so far, good luck with your choice

Iceman-19 12-05-2011 06:50 PM

After watching that m5 video I did get an erection, but I was at the dyno day when Jeffield had his c63 dynoed. I think it only had an xpipe at the time, and it sounded so muscular an aggressive I came in my pants. It's a tough choice. What year m5 is that?

If you're interested in the M5 get the 2010s, but I agree with you on the c63 with xpipe :D gonna get mine done soon, I ll make a vid of the revs and take offs when its done.

Firmware 12-05-2011 07:00 PM

If you are in the market for a bmw m5 , buy one that is 2007+ because i have heard that many people have SMG trannys problems with the ones produced in 2006.

If you can wait, next year the f10 bmw m5 will be out sometime between spring - summer.

Price will likely start at 100g.

But i like the V10 over the new twin turbo v8.

If you do consider to buy one, get warranty or else you are fucked.

Iceman-19 12-05-2011 07:12 PM

I won't be buying a brand new m5, that's for sure. Dont want a mortgage payment for a car. I'd go around 65ish max so I'll be looking used if I do either.

Gen4 Camry 12-05-2011 08:03 PM

My frd has one for sell at his work, drove the car once, it's probably the most powerful car I've driven, stock exhaust sounds really good as is, but the downside is that rear tires need to be replaced every 10k, sooo much power at the wheels, you will be surprised, and this is coming from a guy with a stang gt who cant afford an euro v8 lol
