just a question, if i have a size 29 and a half waist, will a size 30 belt fit or should i go for 31?

jeedee 12-13-2011 07:20 PM

Depends what kind of belt it is.

Some fit smaller compared to others.

Your best bet would be to try it on before purchase

Derek_N84 12-14-2011 01:51 PM

^ what jeedee said.

also wear the kind of pants/jeans you're most likely going to wear the belt with the most often. i made the mistake of wearing jeans when i bought a belt i'd mostly wear with slacks and the fit is off.

wyuzz 12-17-2011 07:03 PM

can someone fill me in on the quality of tanner belts?

Energy 12-17-2011 07:41 PM

If you appreciate authenticity and quality materials and craftsmanship you'll love their stuff. If you want bling bling then go LV or JL or something like that.

+1..
My Tanner feels like it's better quality than both my LV and Gucci belts..
Boy, do I regret buying the Gucci one. I'm happy with the LV though.

instantneedles 12-30-2011 12:44 PM

Aesthetic-wise: gucci > LV Quality wise: Tanner > LV > gucci

shawn79 12-30-2011 03:34 PM

:seriously: Gucci belt > LV ?

instantneedles 12-30-2011 04:57 PM

Well imo the interlocking G logo stands out on the gucci belts alot more than the LV belts... and of course as I mentioned, the quality of the LV belts would obviously be better.

Went to Park Royal on boxing day and the belts weren't marked 50% off. However I went to Metrotown on Wednesday and their's were. A bunch of size 30s left when I went and 1 size 28. A lot of black slater belts left. No whites.

jACEDesignsLtd 12-30-2011 06:05 PM

^yea metro is where I got a white one for $45 or so. It's that cloth material though. see twitter page below for pic..

Phozy 12-30-2011 06:10 PM

^ do you know when the sale ends? gave up on winter shopping a week ago after not finding any sizes, might check back

Also, its 50% off everything in the store?

...You're buying things for the wrong reasons if all you care about is "what's flashier" :suspicious:

StylinRed 12-30-2011 07:21 PM

anyone who pays for LV/gucci belts just want the flash... better quality on them? :lol

I never said I preferred gucci over LV. In fact, I don't prefer either. I just said that aesthetically, the interlockin G logo beats the LV logo. I don't own a gucci belt, nor do I own an LV belt because in general, people who buy/use those belts are tools. But I mean, if you're gonna spend your money on a logo anyways, might as well spend it on a better logo right? Better to be a bulldozer than a regular hammer right?

Are you saying you buy an LV belt simply for its quality? If you do, you're only speaking half the truth. If all you care about is quality, what's holding you back from getting a bottega venetta belt? I can vouch that its quality will triumph over any gucci or LV belt. And that's right. Because the people who buy LV or gucci for its "quality" are really only buying it for its mainstream logo. I give it 90% for the logo, and only 10% for its quality. So please don't tell me you think LV is better than gucci strictly because of its quality because that my friend, is a fucking lie.

thats the whole point of designer brands my friend.
not trying to defend or attack anyone here but we all know its the truth.
people buy them to be perceived a certain way.

Gh0stRider 12-31-2011 01:01 AM

metrotown had a kiosk that sold belts and belt buckles...anyone know where it moved to? or if its gone?
