what amp wire to use? Hi i have a JL 10WOv2 sub and a MB Quart FX2.60 amp. Is 8 gauge enough? |
For speaker wire or remote turn on? |
Just googled up the amps' specs: 60w RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms 120w RMS x 2 @ 2 ohms 240w RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms bridged. Yes, 8 gauge is sufficient. Remember to use a fuse close to the battery. |

Remote wire is the thin blue one, usually 18 gauge. Amp to sub; depending on how long the wire will be, 12-16 gauge speaker wires are fine. |
you will be fine |
Turns out my wiring kit isnt 8 gauge wiring. Its 10. But it can handle 500w. Still good? Thanks |
