Playing a burnt DVD of music on PS3

i burnt a dvd with a bunch of music and tried playing it on my ps3 with no luck

can the ps3 read burnt dvd's?

what do i need to do to make it work?

thanks

Yes, it can read burned DVDs. I stream all my audio content to the PS3, however, so I don't know how to get the music DVDs to work.

You can put music into your usb drive and play whatever you want to listen.

never tried it that way.... but it should be able to

might have to throw them on as MP3 files (data disc)

i remember watching a burnt dvd disc for a movie..worked fine

you probably needed to burn it into a folder under the name "MUSIC" (or whatever the audio folder is called in the PS3 menu).
You burned them onto the DVD as mp3 files correct?

It probably works very similar to watching shows and movies off a USB flash drive.
You have to copy the movies/shows into a folder called "VIDEO" in the flash drive...otherwise the PS3 will not be able to read it.

Click triangle with the disc highlighted and select display all

^ usually solves the problem

I wish you could set it to display all be default, going through it normally is so bloody slow sometimes
