Need help diagnosing Civic engine
 

So my friend's Civic died on her over the weekend. According to her, it started fine, but began sputtering before it died. She tried starting it again afterwards, but it sounded like the noise you make when you try to start your car while it's already running. So I come over, she tries to start it. The noise it's now making is the same when you're doing a compression test, so I decide to do that anyway. lol.

150, 60, 100, 80 are the numbers I get

It's got spark and fuel.

My thoughts are the timing belt. I've pulled it all apart and unless it simply managed to jump a couple teeth, I'm having troubles thinking this is the issue. The belt looks brand new and T-belt tensioner spins smoothly and freely. There was a bit of slack in the T-belt line (maybe 3/4" of play), which plays into my original thought that it simply jumped a couple teeth. However, in case this turns out to not be the issue, I'd appreciate some thoughts and suggestions as to what you think it may be.

It's a '99 Civic with the 1.6L geared by a slushbox.

if those are the compression test numbers, u might have bent valves, the highest and lowest should be within 10% of each other
