Help me find a laptop...

I need a laptop for work. We are having issues with DELL so we are not able to buy/lease from them for the time being. Most off the shelf laptops are good for what I do (Excel, Access, Outlook, Accounting Software).

Budget - $1000 taxes in
Brand - Something reliable

Must haves:
- Windows 7 Professional (ability to remote desktop is must)
- 4-5hrs of battery life
- 15" or better
- wireless

Everything else is optional.

If you guys can provide me some links that be great. Looking to pick up no later than boxing day. Not willing to stand outside to save $150.

^ I agree with the above post. Lenovo is a great laptop brand. I believe with your budget you can get everything you are looking for.

anyone have suggestions for in store purchases? I've been looking at BB and FS.

Just bought this Asus - ASUS N53SV-DH71 Core i7 2670QM 15.6IN HD 750GB 4GB GeForce GT 540 WIN7 Silver HDMI USB3 Notebook - ASUS - N53SV-DH71
949.99 + Tax

There are a few others like that are cheaper. Also an extra 4gb of ram is only a $20 upgrade.

This one is almost identical to the lenovo one posted for $799
ASUS K53SV-DH51 Core i5 2430 15.6IN HD 640GB 6GB GeForce GT 540 WIN7 Webcam Mocha HDMI USB3 Notebook - ASUS - K53SV-DH51

also Asus comes with one year accidental damage warranty (drop, spill, surge) and they have a two year limited manufacturers warranty if you register the laptop.

I was looking at some Asus ones from Staples last night. How good is the brand? Is it reliable?

Windows 7 Pro is no longer an issue. Once I purchase the laptop, the IT people will install it.

Go to ncix or memoryexpress.

When you buy, use shopbot.ca and price match.
