I cant stand when companies show off a vehicle but dont actually have one to show and just make a photochop.

Don't kid yourself, SUV's can't 4x4. Look at how little ground clearance that shit has.

is it really that hard to believe? i'd take a cayenne v6 over an srt8 anyday.

depending on the pic i guess...

http://img2.netcarshow.com/Jeep-Gran...llpaper_17.jpg
http://img2.netcarshow.com/Porsche-C...llpaper_55.jpg (isnt a fair pic though since thats the 2-tone option which is a few $K)

they look about the same to me (id give the edge to porsche) i like that the cayenne has those handlebars in the centre but.. yeah

exterior wise i feel the Jeep has it by a landslide there's always a give and take

and with the porsche if you want any seemingly basic features (in other brands) your price ends up skyrocketing from on par with the jeep into 911 S+ territory

donjalapeno 12-24-2011 03:35 PM

german and american should never be compared to eachother...

its like comparing a rat to a lion...pointless. You know the lion wins in every aspect

Excelsis 12-24-2011 04:10 PM

can the lion burrow it's way into a 2 inch hole? Don't think so :troll:

twitchyzero 12-24-2011 04:14 PM

jeep is clearly the better bang for the buck
but it will start to fall apart after 7-8 years :okay:

and the maintenance repair cost of the porsche over those 7-8yrs will cost the price of a new jeep :)

crazyazn 12-24-2011 08:04 PM

The Porsche has "OH SH--" handles, clearly it's the winner.

underscore 12-24-2011 09:47 PM

^ why the fuck did they give oh shit handles to the driver though?

because like the rest of the porsche 'suv' its all for show

jpark 12-24-2011 11:40 PM

the centerconsole in the cayenne looks far more upscale, but you guys are missing the point...

people who are in the market for srt8 jeeps are not going to look at v6 cayennes.. they want a muscular suv that competes with cayenne turbo, x5(6)/m etc. etc. with an affordable price tag.

now before i get flamed, im no way in saying its better built than the german muscle suvs, but price wise, it could be bang for the buck for potential performance oriented suv buyers..

descent power, affordable, may of course lack in some quality compartments from its euro competitors, but again affordable price attracts potential budget buyers in the market and mainly..the discretion of brand perception

think of hyundai for example

bloodmack 12-24-2011 11:55 PM

sit in the drivers seat of a 600hp SRT8 Jeep first and then you'll understand why. This is fucking awesome.

keitaro 12-25-2011 12:06 AM

For function, I would rather get a Range Rover Autobiography..until it breaks down.

Trust me those things are shitty, ive driven a couple at work and theyre way to sensitive and handle like shit. I dont know how the others compare with handling but i definetely wouldnt waste my time with one.

GabAlmighty 12-25-2011 01:05 PM

I remember I was driving and saw one of the SRTwhatever suv's take off... Thing sounded like fucking Satan. I dd one of those any day of the week and blow the doors off most cars on the road. With the groceries in the back too.

Hes talking stock, and 4runners are different anyway.

underscore 12-25-2011 08:25 PM

4Runners are not SUVs. Try doing that in a Kia or Honda or H2 or GMA Yukon or any other modern SUV, it will die.

let's assume it's covered by the warranty the first few yrs:concentrate:

how much would a 7-8 year old (let's say 2004-2006 Cayenne) for regular maintenance go for?

StylinRed 12-25-2011 09:00 PM

i dunno im just making assumptions :fullofwin:

Most modern ones, no. There are a few on the market right now that are very capable, though. However, if I were to get one to actually 4x4, it'd be an old Pathfinder or 80's Toyota pickup.

Huh? I understand your argument but 4runner's are SUV's... My regi doesn't say "truck" on it.

And as far as the H2 argument goes...

racerman88 12-26-2011 09:29 PM

pretty mean looking suv

BrRsn 12-26-2011 09:58 PM

HNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGHHHH SRT8 ME GUSTA.

Anyone saying domestics fall apart after 5 years, I have a 2003 grand cherokee V8 HO. I maintain it well, do all preventative maintenance and it probably runs better than most cars its age, including my dads honda :fuckthatshit:
