TSX HID blinks then dies HELP.!~ hey fellows, when i turn on my HID, driver side HID blinks then dies. -HID is about to burnout? -Wiring issues? -Blown Fuse? Lets say if my HID is burnt, can i replace it with a 8000k HID? will it shorten the lifespan of the HID motor? Thanks |
Either the ballast or bulb has failed. Start with the bulb, and if it's still dying, replace the ballast. |
Swap the bulbs from driver side with passenger side to determine if it's the bulb or the ballast. Switching to 8000K HID bulbs will not shorten the life your ballast, but you will lose a lot of lumens. In another words, it will be a lot dimmer. I suggest sticking with OEM Philips/Osram 4300K. |
Please do not get the 8000k rice. |
ok thanks for the help! |
Do you turn the lights on before starting the car? my drivers side flickers then dies on my truck if i turn them on before starting it. |
Well, when the car is on or off, the hid still blinks then dies.. =/ |
Like they said, swap bulbs. And if you go with anything above 6000K you might as well get a good set of night vision goggles are more of the light is now in UV thus not visible to the naked eye. |
hahah !~ i don't have the time yet to do the swap, i'll do it sometime this week! |
i find mine hate the cold. when i first turn them on they will flicker and then die. but if i cycle them once or twice then they will stay on as long as i need them |
