Is there any programs to swap some ram to use towards gaming??

I have the ATi Radeon HD 5770... its not really performing to well for BF3.. I have 8gb of ram on my machine, which is more then enough for everyday use..

Are there any programs that can swap of my ram to use for video gaming??

I could buy a new video card, but I dont really game a whole lot, so i dont want to spend $$$$ on a new card.. I play around 2-3hrs week... usually on the weekends..

I know my ram is good... I ran memtest86+ last night, got 10 passes without any errors..

Simple answer. No. Ram will not make much difference even if you could.

How come everyone thinks adding ram will improve EVERYTHING lol

I've noticed every time a new game comes out everyone is like
NEED MOAR RAMMM!!!!!!!!!!

How about upgrading cpu or video card?!

^ ram is cheap, I also would want to add some DDR3 to my old video card, but it won't work.

im running a E8400 @ 3.8ghz (stock is 3.0ghz)
I have the WD Raptor for my main drive..

I keep getting BSOD Video Memory Management error..
Ive reformatted my disk and installing just the game to see if it could be something i installed thats effecting but i still get crashing..

I can play MW3 without any problems..

PornMaster 01-01-2012 12:08 PM

your cpu needs MOAR POWER

FerrariEnzo 01-01-2012 12:18 PM

hmm... DAMN.. Memory Express took off the i5 deal until Jan14th

but why im getting the BSOD Video Memory Management error... somethings its IRQL thing...

Ive cleared CMOS and set it to optimized defaults and not change bios settings... i dont get BSOD.. just freezes... the min req says C2D is ok..

yea, the latest chipset drivers, video card drivers, sound card drivers, ethernet drivers...

Ive read around that people were flashing their ATi cards... is it safe?

ddr 01-01-2012 08:36 PM

i've only read about ppl doing that to unlock features or limits, not to solve already occurring bsod or errors.

Soundy 01-01-2012 08:48 PM

Are you running 64-bit Windows? If not, more than half of that RAM is wasted.

FerrariEnzo 01-02-2012 07:04 AM

yep, im running win7x64... all updates are done..

lol i was seriously thinking about going to use XPx64...
