Receiving pics from Iphones Why does every picture that gets sent to me from any iphone have the same name? imagejpeg_2.jpg. any picture from any other phone: android, bb, non smart phones, are all named in some logical manner (like date and number, or number). is this from the iphone end because they somehow neglected a proper file naming system? or because apple is giving the finger to blackberry owners? |
Just going off the top of my head here, so don't quote me. I think it generates a new file name whenever you send it via MMS or email. Whenever I email multiple images, the files are image1.jpg image2.jpg etc. If I access the iPhone camera folder through My Computer/Windows Explorer/whatever, the files names are in succession, named by number. |
yea when iphone send photos via email or mms it renames it. |
5 generations of iphones and they havent figured out thats a dumb idea? every pic that gets sent to me from an iphone overwrites a previous pic that was sent to me unless i rename it. |
maybe just a bb problem, when i was using my Nexus, it auto renames it with a (1) on the end so it never over-writes |
ya youre right, it prompts me to rename it and automatically puts (1) as the suggestion. |
