How to scrap a car? Hey guys, so I just broke axle on my car. and I want to scrap the car. I heard I get some money for the car when I scrap a car. is that true? if that's the case, can someone tell me whom to contact and whether there is any fee that I have to pay. |
You'll be able to have it picked up and taken away free or maybe receive some cash. Just open your phone book and call up junk yards. Every place is probably going to be a bit different in what they could do for you. |
go on CL and automotive section. search up scrap car removal. Depending on the car you could get $120 or below. |

Glad you got it sorted out. If it was just an axle, I would've been happy to give you double what the scrapper gave you for it though. |

OP sees value in having a clear driveway and probably didn't want to deal with CL BS or dumping more money into it. Yeah, sure, some of us would fix it and have a nice, cheap DD. If the OP can afford to scrap it and wash his hands of the situation, more power to him. |

Smart to cut off the cat and scrap the car after?? The cat is a replacement cat, still 200 on the market these days? And any shop on Mitchell? Thanks. |

Thanks Firebird, I'll give sabby a call. The cat looks welded in, and might be a bitch to take off for a 100 bucks or less. |
