how do you remove stain on the cloth seats? |
hot water extractor would be my first choice. if you dont have access to one, you apc 10:1 or 4:1 for spots. scrub and let it sit and repray and wipe or vac. you can also use a carpet cleaner but be careful since it can take some of the color or stain the seats. remember to use a fabric protect spray (ie scotch gard) to prevent future staining. |

what shop is this so many nice cars |
can you tell me how you get rid of swirls on black cars? |
depends on severity or how much you want to use. if you dont know what your doing you can do more bad than good. (ie. burn the paint, take off too much clear, cause deeper and more scratches etc) i use a rotary, if the paint warrants it, a wool pad followed by a cut polish finish pad, would use meg cut like m86 and work my way down to a m80 or skip 83-80 and use a 205. sanding might also be needed. some slight haze might be left so after final polish so use sonax paint cleaner then go over with a sealant and 2 coats of wax should bring it back to better than show room condition. i have done enough work to finish with a rotary without causing holos but some new detailers would use a dual action. some that are not experienced with a rotary should not use it since it can take less than a second to go through your paint. i have done it before and it is a hard lesson learned. but with dual action for paint correction takes lots of time and you cant really use compound with it but good for light detailing. i used to use it only for putting on final polish, seal, and wax. contact me if you want a inspection and paint correction done to your car |
you dont use 3m?? polish? |
been trained on 3m but dont like it. even bcit has meg stuff more of a meg person and i have buckets of their stuff. i even get a good discount from the company polish isnt going to take out your scratches. you need a compound and the right pad. gaga if you want to start polishing your own cars there are many steps involved and you should get training. not saying from me but go to school like bcit or other places. it only takes 1 wrong move to mess up the paint. i have also seen people use way too much compound thinking they get everything out and in the end took off almost all the clearcoat leaving zero chance of future polishing. make sure to always wipe down after each stage with alcohol or wash the car to get rid of all the oils in the polish since it can hide defects. nothing pisses people off then having all those swirls come back after 1 wash. also you have to enjoy detailing cars and have patients. it can take multiple tries to get the results you want. and its back breaking work. :) |
