or maybe he just doesn't WANT to do it because its not his job or role. he's too good for bug squashing, he's the star here.

^in all the jobs I've ever held, there were MANY things not described in my "job description" yet it becomes expected I do them anyway.

edit: she admits in the video (2nd link) that IT IS part of the "ball kids" role.
i bet if this was a guy and not a chick people wouldn't have paid as much attention.

Actually, it is the ball kids job to remove insects or other objects from the court.

This is standard behaviour for tennis players. They're not going to remove the bug from the court themselves. Just flicking it away with their racquet isn't sufficient either... it needs to be removed from the playing surface.
