He's not bad in some movies, though they tend to be flicks where action is the scar and acting is considered a sort of secondary bonus.

For me, it's:

Keanu Reeves
Kevin Costner
Jennifer Lopez (I refuse to address her as "J.Lo")

I watched Contraband 2 nights ago. Mark Wahlberg's performance was seriously lacking. In fact, the entire movie was horrendous.

Mr.Money 01-26-2012 02:05 AM

John Leguizamo.

It's weird for me to say, because he actually IS a good actor with the right part, but that only ever happened once. It happens to be one of my favourite movies of all time too...

But every single other movie Adam Sandler is in is the shittiest piece of shit trash fucking crap movie I have ever seen in my life.

Yeah I'd say all his flicks were pretty good watches right up until his bankruptcy (or financial troubles if the guy's not bankrupt yet).

He's not that big yet, but another addition I'd have to say is fellow Canadian Jay Baruchel. The few films I've seen him, his characters are always annoying. It's like he's trying to always play the "loveable geek" which seems to be the trend now with Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jesse Eisenberg etc but he's just getting the "geek" part; not the loveable part. And an irritating geek at that.

One person I can't stand is Vince Vaughn. When ever I see him all I can think of is him with that shit eating grin wearing his Blackhawks jersey.

sonick 01-26-2012 07:42 AM

Paul Walker.

The top of his face doesn't change when he acts. Especially in the first Fast & Furious.

i agree with adam sandler bit, very 1 dimensional acting as he is only portraying himself in all the movies he ever produced in...

the only movie i ever liked him in was punch drunk love..

bill murray is in the same category, he may have been acting for 40 years now but he is just being himself in all his movies, from groundhog day to lost in translation, same monotone, sarcastic characters

TheNewGirl 01-26-2012 09:04 AM

You all need to listen to the pod cast: How Did This Get Made? where some actors and writers and comedians dissect bad movies (some are funny bad, some are insane bad, some are just terrible).

By miles and miles and miles, Nic Cage has the MOST movies covered so far.

I can't stand Adam Sandler though.

gdoh 01-26-2012 09:11 AM

didnt nick cage make all those movies because he went broke because of his stock broker or something like that

6793026 01-26-2012 09:47 AM

Noizz 01-26-2012 10:59 AM

Matt Damon

Apart from the Oceans series of movies, I don't like him

gdoh 01-26-2012 11:08 AM

kevin james?? the guy from king of queens i dont like him
tom green
rob schnider
renee zellwiger

miss_crayon 01-26-2012 11:14 AM

Keanu Reeves
Channing Tatum (TERRIBLE actor)
Cameron Diaz (I do however believe she played a good Angel)

Good thread, I never really thought about who I disliked that much to not watch a movie they're in. I will say though, I will watch a movie if Tom Hanks/Denzel Washington/Morgan Freeman is in it.

Shades 01-26-2012 03:16 PM

You are too hard on Nick Cage. While I agree not all his movies are good, my all time favorite movie is Family Man and he was great. I must've seen that movie 15 times growing up. They play it every Christmas.

Seems like a lot of you judge actors harsher than actresses. I guess as long as the broad is hot, which they usually are if they play a lead role, then their acting would be overlooked.

SkinnyPupp 01-26-2012 05:53 PM

Although Nicolas Cage is one of my favourite actors of all time, I absolutely don't mind if someone says he is the worst actor in the world... to me it's kind of "so bad it's good" and I will watch all his movies, good or bad, just because he is such a nutball and extremely entertaining in most of them (not Ghost Rider)

PJ 01-26-2012 07:24 PM

Taylor Lautner
