replacement door locks needed 2004 civic Si, power door locks stopped working some time ago, so I have been just using the regular old key and lock method... Now the locks are failing. the key does not go in all the way and when it does sometimes will not turn. there is no sign of damage or attempted break in so im guessing its wear and tear?? any recommendations on where to get the locks replaced? can a locksmith fix just the locks or is it better to replace the entire handle?? any advise or wisdom would be awesome!!! thanks |
Look at your key, does it look worn down? Since the power locks were used most of the time, the key cylinder is still fairly new and isnt adapted to your worn key. Go to the dealership with your insurance papers and they'll make you a fresh new key. Worth a try. |
I got the sAme problem with my tsx. Its most likely your door actuator that has failed. Best bet for that part for your car is the dealership. Hope that helps a little. Posted via RS Mobile |
