Anyone going to be there earlier then usual? I'd like to get a few shots with my slider cam before everyone gets there as I don't really feel like lugging the entire rig from car to car to car especially with a couple hundred people walking around everywhere. I don't wanna get in everyone's way. I'll be there at 10am for those who are be interested.

Sounds cool, to bad my motor went so im getting a ride out with my friend in his ranger. Hope the weather holds up and there are some good shots!

alot of cars and clubs showing up early. it is currently dry but pretty chilly. dress warmly. RS tent is here as well as a couple others such as Orca Bay Suzuki. I ask all that attend to please respect this public space and come in/out as civil as possible.

UBC RCMP and VPD are aware and will be patrolling the strip.

Was talking to a RS volunteer holding the slow sign

I propose that for future meets we get volunteers for the RCMP speed watch programs for those individuals that like to speed on public roads with bikers and pedestrians nearby

There were more people who were speeding, revving, power sliding than in the past. Completely unacceptable behavior

A lot of people were ripping it out of the parking lot, car sounds good, but not so good for reputation of car meets.

Fortunately we set up the tent close to the hump in the road this year, so we could see the idiots who chose to speed scrape their shit over it. It was kinda fun anticipating who would scrape or not.

Oh and to the moron in the white R32 GT-R who decided to pass a slow vehicle with oncoming traffic at top speed, COMPLETELY ignoring the multiple slow signs on the road, you're a REAL fucking champion. I really did hope that the hump in the road would fuck up your shit. I know it's horrible to wish ill manners onto people's cars, but it's the fucking twats that ruin it for everyone else.
