2008 Toyota Yaris A/C-Heat Trouble?
 

I have a 2008 Toyota Yaris and just recently have been having complications with the A/C and heat unit. Sometimes when I turn on the power to the unit it will come on and work without a problem. Other times, it will not work at all. Even the blower wont come on. Any possible ideas as to how to fix this or what the problem could be? I am no longer under warranty and can't afford to spend a lot to get it fixed.

if the heater and fan are turned on, but the fan is not blowing air, check to see if the fan motor is getting power... if it is not, then check the switch...

we have replaced the occasional switch, and the occasional blower motor... very rare for either of these items to fail, but it's a possibility...

the AC compressor requires the fan switch to be on before it will engage the compressor magnetic clutch...
