Where do you guys get your electronic device piece parts? So my Samsung LCD monitor just ate shit today and I'd like to have a go at trying to repair it rather than hucking a once-$250 monitor. I've isolated the problem, well.. it kind of jumped out at me.. http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...01582852_n.jpg Anyway. Can someone recommend a place to pick up piece parts (in this case a "qgah02113" inverter)? I can probably get the part off ebay, but if I can find one for local faster, and someone who's got good soldering equipment, that would be way better than me hacking up the board more than it is now. Thanks! |
There's a few shops on Main street. Lee's electronics Lee's Electronic Components There's also Active on Boundary and 1st Ave. |
Active is closed. Try Digikey if you can't find it locally. |
Thanks guys, I checked all 3 of those on your suggestions, but nothing popped up for me for the part itself or what the wonderus google tells me is an equivalent part lol. |
new monitors are so cheap these days...most TN panels are <$150 on sale |
get a new monitor. samsung monitors are known to have troubles in the long run (mainly the backlight problem) like twitchyzero said, TN panels are pretty cheap nowadays, ranging from ~100 to 200ish |
there's a few shops on around main street and 31st. Main Street Electronics I think it's called, if you can't find what you're looking for there's another shop beside it, forgot what it's called though |
^I think you are referring to Lee's, which someone posted earlier, there's a shop one block from there called Japan Electronics (I think). |
