It better have a physical keyboard!. :(

Tell me again why people should bother with this product? What does it do that the iPhone and Android don't already? With RIM in such a poor position in the market, what reason do people have to get on board with a dying company?

...and is it just me or does that thing look huge? Not just big but...thick. If they hope to release sometime soon, are they really going to be able to slim that thing down in time?

They need to inject some new thinking at RIM.

I'll believe it when I see it. Even this Blackberry 10 device seems behind compared to what Android and Apple have coming out as early as Q3 2012. Can this thing beat those to market because that's the only way they'll get any sales.

I like the interface.

the device shown at their press conference isn't a retail prototype

its just a developer mule/alpha device those are always clunky/ugly looking

and they've confirmed that there will be hardware qwerty versions

as for this. what does their market position have to do with anything? you're just buying a bloody phone to use... you take your priorities to find a phone you want and BAM

as for why this over iphone/android well its different and judging from the videos it does have some unique features like the scalado camera ui thingy and the flicking keyboard and bbm certainly there will be other points of uniqueness that we'll see soon

Side note RIM is getting sued by Nokia in Germany for patent infringing (as well as HTC, Viewsonic)

i think you swipe up if you want the word and you just pound if you want the letter

it does look pretty neat though
