IMO better to start walking later since they'll be more developed. So less accidents overall.

When mine started running, that's when I really felt old. They have so much energy.

u know u should bring her out to the spring meet, it be a great bonding experience & then u 2 can make it a tradition every quarter

cuz nothing says father daughter sunday like watching your own father compete in the hog dog eating contest right :fullofwin:

I have two daughters (proof karma exists) and I've been fortunate enough to witness both of their first steps... Definitely an exciting time! My youngest walked and talked about 3 months sooner than my first, just playing catch up I guess. Now they both definitely keep us on ours toes. Good times ahead!

Congrats Berz.

so..when you gonna take her to the gym and make her get rippped :fullofwin: haha like father like daughter?

Congrats! However you may try without childproofing first. We didn't childproof anything and when the baby just got near the dangerous areas such as the stairs, we just said stop and eventually the baby stops going up or down the stairs until he or she is ready. Walking brings game to the another level. My babies walked very early.

You know you are getting old when a car forum has so many fathers posting about first steps instead of random 9gag things

Berz out.

Makes sense. Good luck with your little girl and congrats!
Hopefully she'll have some siblings to play with soon =D

Fun times, congrats! Our little guy (16 months) started running and climbing right after walking, and now we can't let him out of our site. I look forward to reading about more of your little gal's escapades. :)
