iOS (i.e. iPad) development on windows?

Anyone know any good free sdks? I checked out Marmalade/Airplay and DragonFire but they are no longer free
I dont have a mac, should I just buy OS X for $30 and dual boot mac + windows on my PC so I can run XCode?

OSX on PC? Really?

dangonay 02-09-2012 07:42 PM

Buy a Mac. Seriously, if you're going to do actual development the price of a Mac is going to be the least of your expenses.

Definitely worth it to invest in a Mac if you're going to develop. Saves you the headache and troubles.

There are some free code once deploy to all platforms but I don't remember all of them.

There's PhoneGap but there was also one more that also had an HTML5 front end but a rails back end.

Look for a used Mac on Craigslist. Perhaps a Mac Mini.

I do iPhone development and bought a mac. Haven't had any regrets. Let me know if you have any questions.

We should start a fund to buy RS a Mac Mini so we can get the iphone app published :lol
